The recipe for this easy chocolate cake is one of those that must be saved as gold on a cloth. Its preparation is simple, it does not need an oven, its basic ingredients are easy to find and in half an hour it is ready. Then, yes, you have to let it take shape in the fridge, but once inside it we can forget about the creature until it is time to serve.

The decoration of this easy chocolate cake is left to everyone’s taste. We have accompanied it with chocolates of various types and currants, whose acidity contrasts wonderfully with the sweetness of chocolate. The result is spectacular, it is in sight. However it can be served without decorating, sprinkled with a little cocoa and you will like it as well.

350 gChocolate cookies

170 g Melted butter

400 g Dark chocolate for desserts

100 ml Water

140 g Sugar

3 Gelatine in sheets

300 ml Liquid cream to assemble very cold

We crush the cookies together with 20 g of sugar. Add the melted butter and mix well until obtaining a homogeneous paste. We line with it the base and a third of the edge of a 22 cm mold-free mold, pressing tightly so that it is compact, and let cool in the fridge while preparing the filling.

Chop the chocolate and place it in a deep container. We dip the gelatin leaves in a bowl with cold water. In a saucepan, heat the water and the rest of the sugar and, when it has dissolved, remove from the heat, drain the gelatin leaves and incorporate them. We stir well so that they dissolve. Pour over the chocolate, which will melt on contact with heat, and stir until homogeneous.

In another semi deep bowl we whip the cream (stop beating when it makes soft peaks) and add it, little by little, to the bowl with the chocolate, stirring until integrating before adding more. We fill the mold with the biscuit base and let it rest in the fridge for a few hours or, better, overnight. We decorate to taste.
