I don’t know about you, but I don’t come out of the jack, the horse and the king when I prepare breakfast every morning. Coffee with milk, toast with tomato and oil, fruit and it’s over. With how much I enjoy trying new flavors and recipes, I have realized that my breakfasts are very monotonous so I have decided to vary a little and have started with this pineapple, mandarin and ginger smoothie.

We recently saw what kind of smoothie to drink depending on the objective we were pursuing. Well, this pineapple, tangerine and ginger smoothie is one of those that help to strengthen our body and immune system. It is well loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, as well as being delicious. So the pleasure of drinking it comes multiple times.

  • 0.5 Natural pineapple (peeled)
  • 3 Tangerine
  • 150 g Orange juice
  • 50 g Honey
  • 10 g Fresh ginger

How to make pineapple, tangerine and ginger smoothie

The pineapple that I have used in this smoothie was frozen, which makes the result more refreshing without having to add ice to achieve it. When I buy pineapple I usually clean it whole and chop it up. If I do not consume it all and freeze part of it to use in preparations like this. It is good to have a few pieces in the freezer.

We place the frozen pineapple in the glass of a kitchen robot and crush. We peel the tangerines, remove the possible pipes that they may contain and add them to the glass. Peel the ginger, chop it roughly and add it to the glass. We crush until obtaining a homogeneous mass.

Add the orange juice and honey and crush again. We adjust the sweetness point and the thickness, adding more honey and more orange juice if we consider it necessary. If we do not have a powerful food processor and we have leftover tangerine remains, we can pass the smoothie by a Chinese before serving it.
